Love One Another February 26th, 2024

“To love another person is to see the face of God.” - Victor Hugo

Perhaps you’re not a list maker, but it might be interesting to try to make a list of all the ways you are known for being a disciple of Jesus. List those things that show your love for others and see if the list offers you any insight about how you might grow in the ways of loving others.

“Love one another” sounds like an easy request and yet, we often struggle with simply loving the people in our own households or the people we work with each day. We allow the people that attend our church to remain perfect strangers to us week after week and we ignore all those requests that come in the mail to make another charitable donation.

How can you develop more skills in the ways of loving others? Jesus certainly offered many examples of what that would look like. He suggested that we might help support widows and orphans or be hospitable to strangers. Challenge yourself to become a better woman in the ways you truly love others. God will surely support your loving efforts.

“If we love one another, God abides in us, and His love has been perfect in us.” - John 4:12 NKJV

Let us pray: Lord, please help me to learn more about what it means to love others. Expand my list of ways that I might show my love to You and those You’ve placed in my life. Amen.
